"Add Grounding to Your Laptop" Most laptops are not grounded, even when working off plug-in power. Ungrounded electronics may emit high electric fields or raise Body Voltage. Adding grounding could be the answer. This 6 foot ground cord plugs right into the USB port and makes contact with the laptop’s chassis. Use Magnetic Shielding Foil. Material is 15 inches wide and 0.010” thick.
Notes: metal edges are sharp, use caution when handling. If your laptop tends to heat up, be sure to make the shield large enough to allow adequate ventilation.

Reduce Electric Fields from your Keyboard!

Laptops emit a high magnetic field from the base, and annoying heat. HARApad Elite is designed to act as a shield between magnetic field radiation source and the part of your body below the shield. A layer of high-tech radiation shielding material incorporated into the pad contains the field and reduces heat by increasing dissipation to the environment- and away from your body and the laptop. Just right for most laptops. Since most of the magnetic field from a laptop comes from the base, there is no need to shield the screen. Foil is rather stiff and will stand on its own for this size project. Use tin snips to cut it. Fold over a straight table edge or counter-top edge for a nice crisp bend. No need to ground it. Two to three linear feet of material is all that is needed for most size laptops.
