Easy to apply water-based paint for walls, ceilings, doors and other interior OR exterior surfaces. Very effective for blocking cell phone signals, CB, TV, AM, FM signals, radiofrequency radiation and microwaves. Tested highly effective up to 18 GHz!
Based on a high quality pure acrylic binder, this shielding paint offers a perfect compromise of excellent attenuation, high water resistance and good ecology. Good adhesion on many surfaces and substrates like latex paint, construction boards, cement, plaster, polystyrene, masonry surfaces, etc.
Frost-resistant liquid format, ready to use right out of the bottle. Easy to handle – roll similar to ordinary wall paint - and still achieve an amazing reduction of 99% of HF-Radiation with only one layer. Dries quickly. Water clean-up.
Due to its holohedral carbon structure, without fibers or meshes, it offers consistent attenuation regardless of the direction of signal polarization, and a highly conductive surface. As a bonus, carbon is a good RF absorber. About 10% of Y-Shield shielding effectiveness is due to absorption. This helps reduce reflections and minimizes the risk from RF sources trapped inside the shielded area.
15 month long shelf life. Safe for air or ground shipping any time of year.
Cover with latex paint, wallpaper, etc. to achieve desired aesthetics
Typical coverage: 50-100 ft² (~ 5-10 m²) per liter
Shelf Life: 15 months, unopended
RoHS Compliant
VOC content 0,2 g/l
Requires grounding like any other RF shielding material. Appropriate for home, industry, research, and educational applications. Can be used for interior or exterior application, overcoat with high hiding latex paint of any color.
Important note about conductive paint and the National Electric Code:
There is nothing in the NEC which prohibits painting your walls with conductive paint. However, because this product does NOT carry a UL listing, some electrical inspectors, by virtue of being the “Authority Having Jurisdiction” can require the homeowner to hire an electrical engineer to certify that the product is safe to connect to the electrical ground. They can also require that a licensed electrician perform the ground connection. If your application requires an electrical inspection AFTER installation, you should check with your local inspector BEFORE you proceed to avoid any surprises.

What our customers tell us:
"I build solidbody guitars, and this paint is quick to apply, dries fast, and I just have to make sure it contacts a ground inside the guitar control cavity. When the test is having a new guitar sitting under two cheapo Home Depot shop flourescents being tuned for the first time, and hearing absolutely no hum, you know this stuff is doing its job.
Recommended for anyone who needs to stop RF. And the water-base formula is a great bonus, but I will say it does stick to anything it touches.
Use a cheap brush, and throw it away when done."

Exterior Ground Kit for Paint
Corrosion and Weather Resistant
When using shielding paint outdoors, you need a ground connection that will hold up to the elements. This kit contains a metal grounding plate (75 x 75 x 6 mm) with a weatherproof plastic cover and weatherproof perimeter seal adhesive. Also includes a 1 meter long ground cable. Tape is not used with this system. Use 2 kits to ground up to 500 sq feet.

Fiber Additive for Y-Shield Paint
Prevents Loss of Conductivity from Cracking
If you are painting an uneven, porous, or expanding surface, or an exterior application, the paint could crack after drying. A crack in the paint means loss of conductivity from one section to the next. In case of cracks forming in the substrate, this additive contains long, electrically conductive carbon fibers which guarantee a conductive path across the crack. Just stir in the additive (90 ml) into 5 liters of shielding paint. Use an electro mixer for at least for one minute, so that all mixes homogeneously.

SOCKET TESTER INCLUDING PROPER GROUND TEST
Check Sockets for Improper Wiring and Faulty Ground!
You know what happens when we ass-u-me? Electric sockets can be bad for a number of reasons: a wire can short or fray, a wire can become disconnected, or corrode at the contact, or the wires can be connected to the wrong contact altogether! These problems can be a fire hazard, a shock hazard, a problem for polarized appliances, and definitely a problem if you are using the socket’s ground connection to Earth your shielding.
There is no need to guess because it is so easy to test for proper wiring at a socket. Simply plug in the tester and look at the result. Large LCD display indicates if ground is missing or faulty. Easy to see LEDs light up to indicate all these possible problems:
- Voltage on ground connection
- Disconnected Ground
- Disconnected Neutral
- Disconnected Hot
- Interchanged Neutral and Hot
- Interchanged Ground and Hot
- Interchanged Ground and Hot, Neutral missing
- GFI function
This inexpensive tester can be used over and over and gives either peace of mind or a specific earning about what to do. Don’t ground to your socket without it! North American Plug only. Rated for 120V, 50/60 Hz.

CuPro-CoteTM PAINT
Copper Particle Conductivity in a Water Based Paint
This is a sprayable, brushable, or rollable conductive metallic coating using a specially formulated copper as the conductive agent for superior performance in electric field and RF shielding. Developed initially as an RFI/EMI shield for plastic electronic equipment housings, it can be applied directly onto acrylic, ABS and structural foams, as well as solvent sensitive materials such as polycarbonate and polystyrene.
Can also be applied to other non-porous surfaces including primed wallboard, wood and clean metals. Can be applied by sprayer, brush or roller just like ordinary latex paint! Just as safe to handle, too. Thin with water. Good surface resistivity of <1 Ohm/sq at 1 mil dry film thickness. Attenuation: more than 75 dB from 30 MHz to 1.5 GHz. Dried coating is stable up to 250° F.
Covers 670 ft² per gallon per mil thickness if application is 100% efficient (typically 400 ft² per gallon when applied by roller). Color = Glitter Copper, but
you can paint over with ordinary latex paint to achieve desired aesthetics. Warning: CuPro-Cote liquid does not tolerate freeze/thaw well. We cannot be responsible for freeze damage during shipping.
Click to see MSDS (.pdf) RoHS Compliant. VOC: 1.0 ± 0.1 lbs/gallon (120.0 ± 12 grams/liter) If you are concerned about reflections inside the painted shield, line a portion of it with Microwave Absorber Sheet. Requires grounding like any other RF shielding material.

Working without alligator clips or snaps? This nontoxic, solvent free and water soluble material spreads easily and dries quickly to form a conductive bond between most surfaces. Just squeeze a little bit onto your fabric, embed the bare copper wire lead into it and wait about an hour. It adheres well to a wide range of synthetic and natural fabrics. Note that Electric Paint is water soluble, washing with soap and water will remove any paint which has been applied. If you want to make it more durable, you can use waterproofing spray to protect the surface of the fabric. Use it to make conductive traces, repair circuit boards, even make smart textiles!
The paint’s conductive properties do not degrade over time. In-house samples demonstrate that the material can last years if treated properly and kept dry. Electric Paint is well suited for screen-printing with meshes ranging from 43t to 90t. The paint is slightly resistive- at approximately 55 ohms per square. The conductivity of Electric Paint increases as it dries, therefore wait until it is completely dry to test your projects. 10ml squeeze tube. Black.
